Mit der beeindruckenden EP ‚Transmission‘ auf Jennifer Cardinis Label Correspondent und der Single ‚Tribute to a Dancefloor‘ auf Laurent Garniers Label COD3QR machte Skatman bereits 2024 auf sich aufmerksam.
Mit seiner vierten Veröffentlichung auf seinem eigenen Label Cognitive Prophecy, der EP ‚Paint the Picture‘, setzt Skatman seine beeindruckende Form fort.
Der Titeltrack ‚Paint The Picture‘ ist durchdrungen von der farbenfrohen, erzählerischen Herangehensweise des Künstlers an das Sounddesign. Tuckernde Grooves untermalen eine Salve lebhafter Akkorde, die im Verlauf der Komposition aufblühen und wieder verebben, mit subtilen Anspielungen auf Chicago und Detroit auf dem Weg.

The title track ‚Paint The Picture‘ is steeped in the artist’s colourful, narrative approach to sound design. Chugging grooves underpin a volley of vibrant chords that wax and wane as the composition progresses, with subtle nods to Chicago and Detroit along the way.
