DOVE aka BICEP – Bi83
Gerade erst haben Bicep – alias Andy Ferguson und Matt McBriar – ihre neue CHROMA A/V DJ Show auf dem diesjährigen Coachella Festival präsentiert, da kündigen sie schon die neueste Veröffentlichung ihres aktuellen CHROMA Projekts an: DOVE – „Bi83“.
Bicep schreiben auf ihrem DISCORD-Server: „DOVE wird hoffentlich ein Ort sein, an dem wir mehr einzelne Ideen niederschreiben können, weniger auf komplette Songs konzentriert und mehr auf experimentelle Konzepte, an denen wir im Studio arbeiten. Für diese erste Veröffentlichung haben wir uns zum Beispiel auf menschliche Stimmen und Acid beschränkt, um die meisten Sounds zu erzeugen. Auf lange Sicht wollen wir mit DOVE zu den Sounds zurückkehren, mit denen wir aufgewachsen sind, mit einer Rave-ähnlichen Askese, aber im Moment freuen wir uns einfach darauf, es wachsen zu lassen und zu sehen, wohin es geht.

Fresh from debuting their new CHROMA A/V DJ show at this year’s Coachella Festival, Bicep – aka Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar – have announced the latest release from their ongoing CHROMA project: DOVE – ‚Bi83‘.
Bicep write on their DISCORD server: „DOVE will hopefully be a place where we can put down more singular ideas, less focused on complete songs and more on experimental concepts we work on in the studio. For example, this first release was about restricting ourselves to human voices and acid to create most of the sounds. In the long run, we’d like DOVE to lean into the sounds we grew up with, with a rave-leaning asceticism, but at this stage we’re just excited to start growing it and see where it goes.
